Two sections of a wild boar's tusk have been fastened together to form this upper arm band from Southern Sudan. While one section has been attached together with animal hide, copper wire has been used to fasten together the other section. The bangle displays a beautiful shape - echoed by the bands of incised striations that follow its curved form.
