With its beautifully curved saddle support and four splayed legs, this zoomorphic shaped headrest/stool from Southern Sudan bears resemblance to an animal, possibly a tortoise.
The seat of the headrest/stool exhibits a lovely honey coloured patina.
Estimated Period: Mid-20th Century (Or Before)
(There is a traditional restoration to part of the curved seat)
