An unusual shaped stool with four supporting V shaped uprights shaping outwards that have the appearance of animal legs. Carved in between these uprights are two faces that have many features and characteristics to that of the large round shaped masks that are typically found amongst the Mbunda Culture. Each support is decorated with a series of scorched circle designs which can also be found on the seat surface. The seat has a worn patina in parts particularly around the uprights and carved faces. The base to the stool, scorched in areas ,is circular and hollow which is a characteristic of stools coming from this region.

Condition: Cracks to the base and seat, small chip/missing part to edge of seat as shown in photos, all due to the age and dryness of the wood.
