The zoomorphic form of this Lotuko headrest from Southern Sudan follows the natural shape of a tree branch. With its ‘head’ and four splayed ‘legs’, the headrest gives the impression of an animal poised in a dynamic stance.
This Lotuko headrest is in good condition, and exhibits a lovely patinated surface.
