This unusual fragment depicts a mother who carries a small baby on her back. The mother bears a pleasing expression, and the baby looks slightly upwards and to one side. The figure, possibly a form of personal fetish, has been carved from a medium density wood showing remnants of charred remains around the figures torso area.

The lower section of the mother and child figure is missing, with traces of charcoal present as a result of possible fire damage.
