This fine Luba/Kusu fetish figure dates back to the early twentieth century or before. The figure has its pronounced head leaning forward, with both arms resting on its stomach. A strand of glass beads adorn the midriff area, and the figure's protruding head is crowned by a cluster of empowered horns. Exhibiting a thick, oily surface patina, the figure 'sweats' oil in warmer temperatures.
