This wonderful Bambara door lock has been carved into a figurative form which exhibits wonderfully abstract qualities, with its elongated shape of the body decorated with fine markings. The head of the figure, where a wonderful deep surface patina is particularly prevalent, appears to tilt slightly to one side.
The sides of the lock and the facial area exhibit a beautiful worn surface, where the door lock has been handled throughout the years.
