A fine and rarer form of Ethiopian headrest with a double-tiered cone-shaped base. The double-tiered base has been decorated with deep etched-in designs of crosses and circular striations. Two downward lugs are positioned at the end of the curved neck support. Carved from a dense brown wood with a rich smooth slightly oily patina.
