The weight is unusual capturing an antelope, or gazelle, with raised horns, standing with two human hands resting on its back. One of the legs to the gazelle (the back right leg) is missing. Its rare to find a weight of this type, no other published examples can be found. Weather the weight is related to some Akan proverb is not known. The surface is very smooth and worn, the weight would date to the 19th Century.
The weight came from a private collection in Scotland.
