The box on the left is thin walled, the brass sheeting has been wrapped, joined and finely decorated with bands of embossed decorations. The box on the right is thicker walled and has been cast. The beautifully decorated lids on each container fit tightly to their bases. Both containers (adamphruwa) are 19th Century and were traditionally made to hold gold dust.
