Carved with a single upright column supporting a square-shaped seat, formed in such a way as to give balance when the stool is sat upon, the shape - and character - of this piece is difficult to capture in photographs alone. The seat displays a rippled surface, while throughout, the stool exhibits a smooth and rich patina as a result of use and wear.
