The body of this stool represents a female figure with raised arms, supporting a flat, circular seat. The top of the seat is adorned with fine geometric decorations in which scorched areas highlight a series of raised patterns, and throughout the stool, the surface exhibits a lovely scorched, glossy patina. This stool was more than likely made for European clientele during the early colonial period.
