Rare Bronze Gold Weight of a Lion Attaching a Hunter. Akan Culture, Ghana

A finely cast large Akan weight depicting a lion attacking a hunted.

The lion crouches on top of the hunter who shields himself with his musket which the lion holds in its mouth.
