The figure carved in a proud upright stance with her hands gently resting on her stomach. This is a type of a maternity fetish, the cavity at the top of the head used in rituals to empower the figure and give protection and good health. Carved with large prominent ears the figure is decorated with stands of glass beads and exhibits a dark, oily in parts, surface patina.
