Finely Cast Bronze Broch,19th Century. Akan? Culture, Ghana

This beautifully cast Akan broch has been surmounted with a bird with pray in its mouth with a series of circle and dot designs decorating the circular plate. The piece is a bit of an oddity, likely made as a prestige item of adornment.
