A beautifully decorated early wooden door panel featuring crocodile, snake and geometric designs acting as symbols of protection. The cut out piece to the top right acted as the hinge to the door, this panel was probably one of a small group of such panels that would have been connected together acting as a larger movable section. Such panels would have decorated the exterior of a traditional meeting house.
