Carved from a dense, heavy wood, this large stool from the Oromo region of Ethiopia exhibits a 'saddle-shaped' form, found among Arsi-Oromo stools. The curved saddle-shaped supporting structure displays visible chisel marks, which contrast with the smooth surface of the seat. Over time, the legs of the stool have developed a lovely, worn patina. In good condition with no restorations or repairs.
