Igbo stools with multiple supports, such as this example, are rare to find. This prestige stool exhibits a wonderful form, with an interplay of angled supports located between the circular base and seat. In the Igbo culture, prestige or title stools were important visual markers for the social rank of the owner.
Traditional restorations are present at the base of the stool.
