An unusual Akan bronze gold weight depicting a man, likely a farmer, standing in a slightly forward-leaning pose with an exasperated expression. His elongated arms are raised to his head, while at his feet is a bundle of bound wood, an axe, and a small pot. The weight is finely cast showing good detail, with a smooth, well worn patina.
