A rare miniature Dan mask depicting a bird's head in abstract form. Compact in sculptural size, the mask has a striking presence and an angular profile, with large slit eyes, a pronounced nose and mouth, and a prominent pointed forehead. The surface has a dark, worn shiny patina, and wire secures the lower jaw, adding to its distinctive character.
