A beautiful and relatively large Akan gold weight depicting a crocodile. The sculpture is finely modelled with an elegant, well-balanced form and displays a rich, worn patina across both the upper surface and underside, reflecting years of handling and use.
The crocodile is rendered with finely incised details, particularly along the body, highlighting the skill of the craftsman and the sophistication of Akan lost-wax casting traditions.
