This late 19th/early 20th century Zulu leg adornment is comprised of multiple bands stitched together to form one piece. One end of the adornment features a vertical row of early metal buttons, which would have been used to fasten the cuff through beaded loops (some now missing) at the opposite end of the wide cuff.
The rest of the piece has been beautifully decorated with tiny 19th century glass beads of white, black, red, blue, green, pink, and yellow. Considering its age, the piece is in good condition with only a few missing beads around the loops at one end.
Estimated Period: Late 19th/Early 20th Century
