A round calabash base and a curved section of animal horn have been affixed together with tiny wooden pegs to form this two part container. Located halfway up the stem, and at the top of the horn spout, are two openings. While the purpose of the first opening - carved into the centre of the horn section - is not known, it is possible that it was used for pouring contents into, or maybe out of, the container.
