A fine Bobo animal mask depicting a horned animal, probably an antelope. The mask displays a strongly stylised and expressive form, with a worn eroded surface to its underside, consistent with age and use.
Field collected by the previous owner circa 1969 in Ferkessédougou, northern Côte d’Ivoire. The mask has remained in a single private collection since the time of its collection.
