This nineteenth-century bronze Akan gold weight depicts a woman sitting on a royal stool. She is shown raising her arms supporting her breasts, in which finely cast flat discs with beautiful spiral designs are positioned at the top of each arm. This unusual decorative feature is also found around the figure's waist.
