The zoomorphic form of this headrest, supported by three splayed legs, is a form typically found amongst Dinka in Southern Sudan. This particular headrest displays a pleasing form with its curved crescent-shaped neck support flanked by two carved stylised animal heads on either side. The surface of the headrest exhibits a lovely, glossy honey-coloured patina.
