This splendid Tsonga headrest consists of a bi-lobed base from which two crenulated, rippled columns emerge. These support an arched pillow beneath which lugs - typical of those found on Tsonga headrests - have been carved. Each end of the top of the pillow is decorated with a row of zig-zag motifs.
The headrest is in good condition, and exhibits a lovely surface patina with contours softened by age and handling.
