'FIBRE AND ORE' - This exhibition focussed on two natural materials that have been used across the African continent for centuries. Presenting intricately woven grass fibre baskets and raffia fibre ceremonial costumes, to iron currencies, amulets and anklets; this exhibition celebrated the extraordinary beauty of fibre and metal. The two contrasting mediums are material testaments to the owners identity - their affiliations, rank in society and religious beliefs.
