Group of Three 1950's Wooden Storage Containers with Woven Lids. Tutsi Culture, Rwanda

These beautifully formed wooden containers were traditionally used to store milk, a highly prized commodity in the Tutsi culture. Each container has an elegant form and a beautiful smooth rich surface patina. The tops are woven fibre and sit on the openings of each container.
